Preheating Unit

The Model 271 Large Sample Plutonium Preheating Unit is a 4 cell sample pre-conditioner for use with the Models R261 and P261 Plutonium Assay Calorimeters. The use of a Preheater reduces calorimeter measurement times by typically 50% and it is particularly relevant for the measurement of waste residues with poor thermal diffusivity .
