NDA Competition Win

We are delighted to have been awarded a Phase 1 contract in the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority’s “Sort and Seg” innovation challenge. ANTECH has many years’ experience in designing systems for assaying and categorising radioactive waste which has already been packaged into drums and packages of various sizes. This project extends the scope of such systems to sorting and selecting waste items to go into the waste packages with the objective of saving operator intervention and minimising the number of packages required as well as continuing to meet the rigorous measurement requirements for the consignment of radioactive waste.

ANTECH has teamed up with the University of Birmingham, Fraunhofer CAP, Metrix NDT and the National Nuclear Laboratory to deliver this project, and looks forward to competing with the other phase 1 winners for the system demonstration phase of the competition.
